Are you still fuming over that Bears implosion? Yeah, me too. The good thing is you can change your mood by winning some money using PointsBet’s Monday Night Football promotions.
But wait, there’s even more good news! There are two Monday Night Football games. The first is Pittsburgh vs. Washington (4 p.m.) and Bills vs. 49ers (7:15 p.m.).
PointsBet’s MNF Boosted Odds
Josh Allen Records 3+ TDs (+200)
If there is a team that loves passing it’s the Buffalo Bills. Josh Allen is having a great season and by far his best as a pro. Despite his two-week slump with no touchdowns in weeks 6-7, Allen has recorded 22 touchdowns and a passer rating of 102.3 in 2020.
He’s going up against a battered 49ers defense. Despite them being without Richard Sherman, Dee Ford, Solomon Thomas, Nick Bosa for most of the year they are sixth in total yards and 11th in total points.
CBs Richard Sherman and Jason Verrett will both play tonight for the 49ers, and on the flip side, Stefon Diggs (8th in receiving yards among NFL receivers) will play. The Bills will be without one of their downfield threats, John Brown. Brown was placed on IR two weeks ago.
Both of these teams are well-coached and play great defense. I am going to stay away from this bet, despite how promising Josh Allen looks.
PointsBetting Wager Of The Week
This is a bet that you’ll want to take advantage of. By placing at least $2 on Josh Allen’s total passing yards (268.5 total), you automatically get a $20 free bet to use on either Monday Night game. $2 and an automatic extra $20 to use tonight? There is no reason not to capitalize on this.
Josh Allen has thrown for over 268.5 yards seven times this season, one of those performances coming against arguably the league’s second-best unit in the Rams.
I am taking the over on Josh Allen tonight. Cole Beasley and Stefon Diggs are a handful for any secondary.
MNF Three Best Bets
Steelers/Football Team Over/Under (43.5)
Both offenses are filled with talent. Washington’s emerging star running back Antonio Gibson and wide receiver Terry McLaurin are going to get their touches tonight. The Steelers have the best defense in football. They are number one in points scored, yards against, and turnovers forced.
Washington is going to lose this game, but they will still be able to score points. As for Pittsburgh, their offense hit a snag against Baltimore last week. They are back at home facing a bottom-ten team in the NFL. No question, they are going to put up a lot of points.
I like both offenses and will take the over.
Antonio Gibson Over/Under 47.5 Rushing Yards
Gibson has torched bad defenses this year. In both of his games over 100 total yards came against the Dallas Cowboys. The Steelers’ run defense is incredible, but my guess is Ron Rivera was taking notes on how the Ravens ran the ball last Wednesday.
Washington is going to run the ball a lot at the beginning of the game, and in order to win, they will need to have that established.
I will take the over for Gibson, especially with his play as of late.
Nick Mullens Over/Under 247.5 Yards Passing
Kyle Shanahan is one of the best coaches in the NFL. He knows that to give his team a chance that they are going to have to run the ball. Mullens has been a serviceable backup QB for a 49ers team that has been destroyed by injuries this season, but he’s going to struggle against the Steeler defense.
Mullens has hit the 247 mark four times this year, including last week against the Rams. That was an impressive outing, despite the loss.
Give me the under on Mullens tonight.
