PointsBet Recap of Bears vs. Vikings, You Should’ve Won Money

-

Don’t look now, but the Chicago Bears are on a winning streak and one game out of the final wild card in the NFC. Despite appearing to have multiple seasons in one, the Bears, somehow, find themselves with a chance to play football in January.

Yesterday went a lot like I said it would, in my Bears Vikings Betting Preview article. The Vikings’ defense folded and allowed the Bears’ offense to do whatever they wanted for all four quarters. That being said, I thought Mitch Trubisky would go over his passing yard prop. That was my only loss of the day on PointsBet.

Bears Vs. Vikings Winning Bets

David Montgomery Over 62.5 Yards

Buy stock now, as Jon Rothstein always says about college basketball players. That’s what you’re going to want to do moving forward with David Montgomery. Now that he has an offensive line and a run-heavy caller, he’s put together back-to-back-to-back star-studded performances. One could even argue they’ve been his best three games in blue and orange. I am one of those people who feel the same way.

Montgomery soared over his rushing prop yesterday. 32 carries for 146 yards and two touchdowns paved the way to a betting victory on my end, and a do or die win for the Chicago Bears.

FYI, Montgomery faces the Jacksonville Jaguars next week. Can you guess what I’ll be recommending you do come next Sunday?

Justin Jefferson Over 71.5 Receiving Yards

The Bears defense has been a big concern the last few weeks, and that trend continued Sunday afternoon. That being said, Justin Jefferson deserves most of the credit. He is just an incredible talent that is going to be a pain in the Bears’ side for years to come.

Jefferson tallied 104 yards on eight catches, notching the over without any issues. If you’ve watched any Vikings’ games this year, you’ll notice that Jefferson runs a variety of routes and is Kirk Cousins’ favorite third-down target.

Just like David Montgomery, buying stock in Jefferson is a winning move.

Bears Covering The Spread / Money Line

The Vikings were three-point favorites in yesterday’s game, but history and the eye test shows you that the Bears are a better football team. The Bears covered, obviously, so that was another win. They also won the game outright, so if you had the Bears on the Money Line it was a bonus.

Bears Vs. Vikings Losing Bet

Mitch Trubisky Over 245.5 Yards Passing

This was the only losing bet of the day for me. Trubisky had a decent day under center, however, it was all David Montgomery. Montgomery dominated the touches on offense, and Trubisky only threw the ball 21 times.

With Eric Kendricks out with injury, combined with bad pass defense, I thought we could see a 300 yard game from Mitch. Instead, he went 15/21 for 202 yards.

Trubisky has played well enough to get victories this season, but he still lacks the big throws downfield. For that reason, I will stay away from his passing props moving forward.
