It all comes down to this: An NFC North battle between the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers to decide if the Bears will get into the playoff picture. Where have we seen this one before?
The oldest and greatest rivalry in the NFL, maybe in sports, will kick off from Soldier Field at 3:25 p.m. Sunday with a lot on the line for both teams. Well, by using PointsBet, you can become the third team in this fierce competition by putting some money on the line.
Aaron Rodgers said it best yesterday on the Pat McAfee Show: “When you have a fanbase that is so invested like Chicago sports fans are, it’s more special. [Solider Field] is such a fun place to play.”
It’s time to show how invested you are.
Early Lines For Bears vs. Packers
Point Spread Favors Packers (-5.5)
No surprise here, as the Packers will come into Chicago as 5.5 point favorites. The Packers have been the best team in the NFC this season, and Aaron Rodgers will likely take home his third MVP award after he will likely finish just under 50 touchdowns and 5,000 total yards.
Simply put, Rodgers has been incredible all year long and will be very tough to beat with the NFC’s top seed and first-round bye on the line.
On the other side of the ball, the Bears offense has come out of hibernation and is playing its best football in the Matt Nagy era. The Bears have scored over 30 points in their last four games, while Mitch Trubisky seems to have figured something out.
That being said, the Packers’ defense has really stepped up the last few weeks too. In a big-time game, taking the Packers to cover is the smart play.
Over/Under 52 Points
The Packers’ offense, as I mentioned earlier, has been historic this year. They are the number one scoring offense in the NFL, Davante Adams has been unguardable, and they even showcase a solid running game behind all-pro linemen like David Bakhtiari.
No matter what the Bears defense does on Sunday, the Packers are going to score points. In fact, they are likely to score quite a few points because that’s just the way things have gone for them this year.
For the Bears, they too should be able to run the ball effectively and put up a good fight. The over is a pretty easy bet for me here.
Money Lines
The Bears are (+190) and the Packers are (-240). Again, with how good the Packers have been this year, betting against them at any point is a big risk. But the Bears have looked very good lately, and realize that they need to win to make the playoffs. Relying on a Rams team that will be without Jared Goff and Cooper Kupp, to win, is not a safe play.
That being said, you’re still smart to take the Packers’ line here too.
