UPDATE: Floyd Mayweather Will Not Return To Attempt MMA Fight

-

It looks like Floyd Mayweather will not be making a return to combat sports just yet. Mayweather was scheduled to make his MMA debut in RIZIN on Dec. 31st. His scheduled opponent was supposed to be an undefeated kickboxing phenom, by the name of Tenshin Nasukawa.

It turns out, that earlier this week, Mayweather called the bout against Nasukawa off. According to Mr. Mayweather, the fight was “never agreed” upon. He believes he was conned by the RIZIN fighting organization. Just when we were all starting to get excited…

This news doesn’t exactly paint Mayweather in the nicest picture. The 50-0 boxer is exploring uncharted waters in the world of mixed martial arts. Whether all of this is for publicity or not doesn’t matter anymore for Floyd. He needs to make up his mind on what he wants to do, because as of now, the only thing fight fans can assume is that Mayweather is too scared to compete in the octagon.
