You never know exactly who the strangers are around you at any given moment, but those in Houston should be very thankful that the stranger next to them was Kevin Holland.
On Monday (March 14) night, a gunman opened fire in a Houston restaurant. Almost immediately, he was taken down by three men who were within the restaurant. One of those men was UFC star Kevin Holland.
Ariel Helwani tweeted the following, stating there were roughly 30-40 people within the restaurant at the time but Holland and two others took the man down and took his gun away.

Thankfully, nobody was injured.
Helwani later followed up with a video from Holland’s Instagram, where Holland amazingly claimed he was drunk when he tackled and stopped the man.

This isn’t the first time Holland has stopped a criminal before either.
Back in October 2021, Holland stopped a car thief in Texas as well and held him until police arrived to arrest the man.
It just goes to show that fighters can have a positive impact in their communities. One fan even jokingly pointed out that this could have been what we got out of Jon Jones, instead of him being the man who is creating the trouble.
Kevin holland fighting crime drunk is everything we wanted Jon Jones to be

Holland is coming off of a win over Alex Oliveira from UFC 272 less than two weeks ago on March 5.
