If you witnessed the Oscars on Sunday night, the biggest moment of the night had nothing to do with any awards being given away. The biggest moment of the night was when Will Smith came up on stage and open hand slapped comedian Chris Rock in the middle of his monologue. As Rock put it, “Will Smith just slapped the shit out of me.”

For fight fans like myself, seeing someone get hit like this is nothing new. However, it’s not something you see A-list celebrities do every day at a highly coveted award show. In other words, this was pretty damn big news.
