There has never been any doubt that Jorge Masvidal is not one to mess with. It’s also clear that the beef has not been settled between Masvidal and Colby Covington after their March 5 UFC 272 main event which saw Covington winning by decision.

Late Monday night, news broke that Masvidal and Covington got into a physical fight at a Miami Beach restaurant. The news was originally broken by Andy Slater, a Miami radio personality.

It should be noted that Slater states that police were called to the scene.

So far, no videos have emerged of the altercation itself. However, TMZ has obtained some footage of the aftermath of the scene with Covington interacting with the police.

According to MMAFighting.com, Covington told police that Masvidal, “ran up to him from his left and without notice punched him with a closed fist two times in the face.”

The report also states that Covington told police he heard Masvidal saying “you shouldn’t have been talking about my kids” during the attack.

Masvidal would tweet the following the next morning:

Later in the day it was announced that it appears that Covington has pressed charges against Masvidal.

ESPN MMA originally reported that Masvidal had been charged with felony battery before later clearing up that he has not been officially charged yet.

The police report mentions that Masvidal fractured Covington’s tooth in the attack.

No word yet on what will happen with the situation. Stay tuned for updates as they come.
