NFL free agency is a few weeks away, and the Las Vegas Raiders need to upgrade their receiving position. Last season the Raiders receivers struggled to get open and make plays. Hunter Renfrow and Tyrell Williams were the two leading receivers for the Raiders; both missed time due to injury. Las Vegas needs to add speed to the receiver position so teams can’t load up to stop Josh Jacobs and key on Darren Waller.
When Green is healthy, he is one of the best receivers in the NFL. But he has missed nine games in the last two seasons. Green has had six seasons of 1,000 yards or more and seven seasons with 65 receptions or more. There is no doubt what Green can do on the field; he just has to be able to stay on it. So far in his NFL career, Green has a total of 8,907 receiving yards and 63 touchdowns on 602 targets.
Anderson would give the Raiders much needed speed on the outside; he averaged 15 yards per catch last season for the New York Jets. Anderson might not be on the elite side of NFL receivers, but his speed has to be accounted for on the outside. Last season, Anderson caught 52 passes for 779 yards and five touchdowns. Anderson would give the Raiders offense some explosiveness on the outside and force opposing teams safeties to play over the top.
Perriman is another fast receiver but not a number one, but like Anderson, Perriman can put pressure on the defense with his speed. Perriman has not lived up to high expectations, but last season he caught 36 passes with 646 receiving yards, averaging 17.9 yards per catch. Also, the Buccaneers receiver hauled in six touchdown passes. Perriman would be a guy you can bring in for a low price; he will add depth and speed to a struggling receiving core.
