Well, that didn’t last long. According to reports on social media, Raiders wide receiver Martavis Bryant, who was acquired from the Pittsburgh Steelers for a third round pick this offseason, will be cut by the team. The move, according to the report, is the result of a pending drug suspension appeal.
The report came from ESPN reporter Dan Graziano and only adds to SADurday for the Raider Nation. With Khalil Mack traded to the Chicago Bears as well as cutting Mario Edwards Jr and trading for backup quarterback AJ McCarron, this has been one of the strangest days in Raiders history.
While unconfirmed as of yet, the reports are not shocking, considering his past history of suspensions under the league’s idiotic cannabis policy.
