To the surprise of some, it was reported earlier today that Phil Jurkovec has entered the transfer portal.
The news comes just a few days after fifth year eligible quarterback Ian Book announced his return to Notre Dame for the 2020 season.
Whether it was Book’s return, or the quarterback pipeline outlook for Notre Dame, there was enough pressure to push Jurkovec to transfer.

The Irish will return Book and Brendon Clark for 2020, and welcome Pyne.
