Part of being a professional athlete is living in the public eye and this can be difficult at times. While White Sox reliever Jace Fry took the mound for his first career start on Wednesday (not really, since it was a declared bullpen day and he only pitched the first inning) his engagement to Kelsi Blalock appears to have fallen to pieces on social media.

Yikes! She even mentioned the White Sox in this tweet. Imagine what the Sox’s social media team thought as Fry took the mound?
Blalock, Fry’s fiance seems to have set their engagement ablaze through a series of Instagram comments and tweets Wednesday night accusing him of being not so honest.
This was the first shot at Fry’s character and things snowballed from there. Deadspin had the story first and the following post — totally nauseating if true — from Blalock is hard to declare fact or fiction.
And things just kept rolling from there.

It has not been a good seven days for relationships of Chicago baseball players. Fry has yet to explain himself — not that he owes the public any kind of explanation and I’m sure he’s still fumbling with the shattered pieces of his life this morning — but Blalock appears to know who the other woman is and had no hesitance to put her on blast last night.

But despite the turmoil and anguish, Blalock was swimming through last night, she made an attempt at levity in the face of disaster.
New fun game of who will RSVP on my wedding website under the most clever name. At least something good has come from my hell hath no fury moment.

A few people actually answered that bell.
Their wedding website is still active this morning but I’d say there will be some serious discussions about whether they will actually go through with the ceremony in December.
