Eloy Jimenez will be batting fifth and playing in left field on Opening Day for his MLB debut with the White Sox. The Opening Day lineup also features Leury Garcia as the leadoff hitter, while Daniel Palka gets the start in right field against the Royals in Kansas City.

Way to fuck up Eloy’s last name, Royals.
So, Garcia gets the start over Adam Engel and Jimenez bats fifth after hitting sixth in the lineup during most of spring training. Garcia has batted leadoff 54 times during his career.
Carlos Rodon is the starting pitcher and hopefully the rain stays away in Kansas City, but it’s not looking too great at the moment.
