White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson took home his first big honor of the season as he was just named A.L Player of the Month. Over the course of the first ‘month’ of the season, Anderson totaled six home runs and drove in 18 RBI’s to go along with his .375 batting average and 10 stolen bases in March and April.
Anderson has made headlines for his tremendous start at the plate, but also for the way he has been playing the game that some have deemed against the ‘unwritten rules’ of baseball.
Anderson’s month was cemented by a game-winning home-run in the bottom of the 9th against the Detroit Tigers in a 12-11 win on April 27th.
Anderson is the first White Sox to win the award since Jose Abreu took home the hardware in 2014.
