Tim Anderson Hates It In Chicago?

-

The White Sox season has been an absolute disaster. They are one of the three worst teams in baseball and show no signs of life. To make matters worse, in Sunday’s game, it seems the camera caught Tim Anderson saying “man I hate it here” to Jose Abreu on first base.

Tim Anderson Wants Out?

It has been a frustrating season for everyone on the Sox, including Tim Anderson, who is having one of his worst starts in five years. Since coming back from injury, he has not been the same hitter that we’ve known for the last couple of years. While there are reports he may still be hurt, it has been a lost season for everyone involved.

As if it isn’t bad enough to have only 14 wins at this point in the season, having a superstar wanting out may be just as bad. In the 5th inning after getting on first base, it seems that Tim Anderson said something to Jose Abreu nobody wants to hear.

From the video, it seems that Anderson said some variation of “man I hate it here, or I hate this place.” It is impossible to tell exactly what he said, but it looks like he said something along the lines of hating something. Judging by the look on his face as he said this, you could tell he was very unhappy.

This incident happened right after a wild pitch that TA did not advance on. He was then promptly met with boos by the fans. That could have contributed to the comment he may have made to Abreu.

He could have also been talking about the pitch clock and the new rules, as he had a pitch clock violation earlier in the game. Hopefully, that is the case, as nobody wants to hear that TA doesn’t like it here. It is difficult to see exactly what he said, so that could easily be the case. Regardless, it clearly looks like he hated something, which Jose Abreu seems to agree with.

After the comment was made, Jose Abreu can be seen nodding in agreement, potentially backing up what Tim said. After some interviews after Abreu left, it did not seem like he was too fond of this place his last couple of years either, hence his departure from Chicago.

This is not a good look for the White Sox, as anytime a star player says anything negative about the team reflects poorly on the organization. But, at this point who can blame him? They are almost in last place and have been underachieving for the last couple of years. At this rate, he could get his wish and be gone by August.

This Isn’t The First Time TA Alludes To Wanting Out

If this was a one-off time, this incident could be chalked up to misreading his lips on TV, but in the past, he has liked tweets alluding to the fact that he would want out of Chicago if given the chance.

Considering everything that has been going on this year, he could very well get his wish if the likes and the video are actually how he feels.

It would be very sad to see TA go, as he has been the heart and soul of this team for almost his whole career. But, if the White Sox stay out of contention, they could get a package for Tim Anderson that could be filled with a couple of top prospects. With the way things have gone, that may be in the best interest of everyone.

It will be interesting to see if any reporters ask him about this after the game and what his response will be. I doubt there will be much clarification, but it will be something to keep an eye on as the season progresses.

He didn’t say that, he said “I hate this pitch clock.” then you see Abreu agreeing. They can’t even read lips correctly. People are always starting shit.

This guy does not want to be here? Maybe the fans don’t want him to be here too. He is getting by being lazy by the owners, he needs to go.

He’s not perfect but he has been a pretty damn good baseball player.

He knows there is a bunch of losers pulling the strings for this organization.

I don’t blame him.
