Olivia Finestead was on 670 The Score Wednesday, detailing the allegations she made toward pitcher Mike Clevinger. Finestead joined the Parkins & Spiegel Show and discussed several aspects of this story, including why she began to communicate with MLB in its investigation of the allegations toward Clevinger, the timeline of events leading up the investigation, as well as sharing a few stories where she described physical and emotional abuse from Clevinger toward her and their daughter.

Clevinger, who signed a one-year deal with the White Sox this offseason, spoke to the media as well on Wednesday in Arizona. He denied all allegations.
MLB is still investigating. Clevinger will continue to be at spring training with the White Sox. There has not been a timetable given as to when the league’s investigation will conclude.

Aside from the awful situation that stems from the investigation into Clevinger, the White Sox have a lot to prove on the field as well. ZiPS projections have the White Sox winning 74 games in 2023, while the much talked about PECOTA projections estimate the White Sox will win about 78 games this upcoming season.
These projections like the Cleveland Guardians and Minnesota chances to finish above the White Sox in the American League Central division and just like the ZiPS projections, PECOTA does not love the depth behind Chicago’s starters.
