The Dodgers don’t need any extra help, but apparently rules don’t apply to them either. This was one of the most obvious fan interference calls you can make and instead MLB gifted Shohei Ohtani a home run in Game 2 of the Tokyo Series between the Cubs and Dodgers on Wednesday.
Ohtani smashed a Nate Pearson fastball to right-center and a couple fans reached over the yellow line, making contact with the ball. Pete Crow-Armstrong immediately pointed up, signaling fan interference. The play was reviewed, but the call stood.
I'm not a conspiracy theory guy, but that was a hilariously fast review on the Shohei homer fan interference call.

Home run Shohei Ohtani. Sure. Whatever.

That made it 6-2 Dodgers heading into the bottom of the fifth inning. The Cubs got a run back after Dansby Swanson doubled down the left field line, driving in Matt Shaw from first base.
Sickening!
