Milwaukee Radio Host Gets Dragged Online After Crying About “Magic Ivy”

-

Congratulations to Milwaukee radio host Vince Vitrano! He’s the idiot of the day! During Tuesday night’s 5-3 Cubs win over the Brewers, Vitrano took to Twitter to whine about the “magic ivy” at Wrigley Field because Jackson Chourio failed to make a catch on the warning track in the first inning.

The ball struck by Kyle Tucker bounced off the heel of Chourio’s glove, ricocheted off the ivy-covered wall, and then landed in the outfielder’s grasp.

As anyone with a working brain knows, even if a player corrals the ball without it hitting the ground it doesn’t mean that’s an out if the ball hits off the wall. That’s any wall, even one covered with ivy. Well, the morning news host on 620 WTMJ in Wisconsin apparently thinks that the Cubs have a special rule that a ball going off the ivy-covered wall can’t be caught for an out.

The confidence here is outstanding. Almost as impressive as how wrong Vitrano was about this.

This guy doesn’t know basic rules in baseball and he’s hosting a morning news show? Oof.

Want to be mad about something, Vince? How about Chourio, who literally had the ball go off his glove.
