This was a scary scene on Thursday, as Dodgers’ pitcher Bobby Miller was drilled on the head with a 106mph line drive off the bat of Cubs’ first baseman Michael Busch. The right-handed pitcher took the come backer on the right side of his head and you could already see the damage on his forehead.
Miller was fortunately able to walk off the field after he was evaluated by the Dodgers’ trainer.

Miller, 25, had a good rookie season for the Dodgers in 2023, when he recorded a 3.76 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in 22 starts. The righty struck out 119 batters and only walked 32 in 124.1 innings. However, the 2024 season was a step back for Miller, as he ended the season with an 8.52 ERA over 13 starts with the Dodgers.
