Kris Bryant Finally Goes On The Injured List

-

Nothing has been more infuriating during the past week than knowing Kris Bryant has been injured and needed to be on the injured list and then seeing the Cubs drag this process out to no one’s benefit.

Bryant first injured hist left hand in Cleveland on Aug. 13, when he tried to make a diving catch in left field. He missed the next two days and then after looking terrible at the plate from Saturday through Monday’s doubleheader against the Cardinals, the Cubs shut him down.

The Cubs third baseman got a shot in his left wrist on Tuesday and the team was hopeful he could return Friday. After missing the series opener against the White Sox last night and once again being out of the lineup Saturday, the Cubs finally put Bryant on the injured list.

Obviously not great for the Cubs, who are already dealing with a way too inconsistent offense.
