Nothing says love more than resisting arrest and disorderly conduct because you’re standing up for your wife who is getting arrested outside of Patriots game. That was the case for former Cubs pitcher Rich Hill and his wife Caitlin, who were both arrested outside Gillette Stadium before the start of Saturday’s home Patriots game against the Bills.
Hill attempted to intervene with the police, as they were trying to transport his wife into a van to head to the police station. Why was she arrested in the first place? That stupid stadium bag policy.

Hill, a veteran pitcher for several Major League Baseball teams including the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Boston Red Sox, and his wife were arrested outside Gillette Stadium Saturday after Caitlin A. Hill repeatedly tried to enter the stadium with an oversized bag and then refused to leave the grounds when ordered to do so by Foxborough police, police said Monday.
Richard Hill was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest when he allegedly tried to stop police from putting his wife into a prisoner transport vehicle for a ride to the police station for booking on disorderly conduct and trespassing charges, according to police.

The MLB pitcher was told repeatedly to stop trying to interfere with police and was eventually arrested too.
At the end, Hill only had to pay a $500 fine and Caitlin a $250 fine.
And it seems the issue started because of a fanny pack?
Hill, in a statement, said “Despite Saturday’s events, my great respect for law enforcement remains unchanged.”
“However, seeing my wife handcuffed for a problem that started because of her fanny pack was extremely difficult for me to witness,” he said. “This was all overblown and we are glad to have it behind us.”
Just needed a “do you know who I am” line from Rich to make this a much more enjoyable story.
