David Ross Burns Ump After Getting Ejected in First Inning

-

Chicago Cubs manager David Ross has not been with the bullshit this week. On Sunday, Ross wasted little time before arguing with the home plate ump in the series finale against the New York Yankees, getting tossed in the first inning. After receiving his fourth ejection of the season, Ross delivered a great line to Alex MacKay.

Ross was frustrated with the strike zone and maybe he was little pissed after Kyle Hendricks was given a pitch clock violation because he took too much time during his warm-up pitches between the top of the first and the bottom half of the inning. The field mics clearly picked up Ross telling the home plate ump, “you got one goddamn game before you get a break and you’re that fuckin bad already?”

Amazing line from the Cubs manager.

Earlier this week, Ross was ejected when the Cubs were playing against the Milwaukee Brewers. In his postgame interview, Ross went off on the entire umpiring crew up in Milwaukee.

I know every single fan base for all 30 MLB teams complain about umpires, but man has it been a shit-show this past week in Cubs game. Flat out terrible and Ross has had enough. Two ejections in six days.

Since taking over as Cubs manager in 2020, Ross has now been ejected 14 times.
