The Rising Stars rosters were released today and they included a familiar name, Wendell Carter Jr.
However, due to his injury, he will not actually be participating in the game. He has been replaced by Zion Williamson.
Even though Carter Jr. won’t be on the court for this game it’s still something Bulls fans can take pride in. This season has been up and down but accolades like this create hope for the future of this team. Wendell Carter Jr. is only 20 years old and has a ton of upside moving forward. Pair that with Zach LaVine having a monster season and hopefully management changes in the offseason and this could attract some free-agents.
Will the Bulls be represented during All-Star Weekend?
As it sits right now the Bulls will still have no representation on the court during the All-Star break. With it being hosted in Chicago this stings a bit more. However, there’s still a chance that the Bulls could be represented. Prior to Zach LaVine knowing if he was an All-Star or not he had talked about possibly participating in the three-point contest and the dunk contest. However, that was contingent on him already being involved in the weekend.
Until we get an answer all we can do is hope the Bulls go on a run over the next five games to put themselves in a good position after the break.
