The City Of Chicago And The Bulls Pay Tribute To Kobe

-

Going into yesterday’s game the sting was still there for most fans. Kobe Bryant sadly passed away in a helicopter crash Sunday morning. An NBA legend left us unexpectedly and much too soon. Before the game tonight, the Bulls paid tribute to him by showing a video montage followed by 24 seconds of silence.

As the game began, the team took an 8-second violation followed by the Spurs taking a 24-second violation.

These were some of the many gestures that have been displayed across the NBA. Outside of the United Center fans showed support before the game by leaving messages in chalk. The Willis Tower was also lit up purple and gold in support.

It’s a tough situation to come to terms with but as we continue through this season let’s not forget Kobe’s love for the game. He had a mindset unlike any other player to come through the NBA. We should all be grateful that we were able to see the Mamba in his element. All that can be done is to continue playing the game Kobe loved and do it with the Mamba Mentality.
