The Bulls Should Trade LaVine For Jaylen Brown This Summer

-

As the NBA regular season is soon ending, many teams are already looking ahead to the offseason and evaluating their rosters. One team that should seriously consider making a trade is the Chicago Bulls, specifically involving their star player Zach LaVine.

Despite LaVine’s impressive scoring averages, the fact remains that he has only won one playoff game in his entire career. With the Bulls rumored to make significant changes this summer, trading LaVine for Jaylen Brown could be the move that propels them into championship contention.

While Brown has expressed a desire to leave Boston, the Celtics would be wise to take advantage of this opportunity to acquire LaVine. Brown is a proven winner who has made multiple trips to the Eastern Conference Finals and a trip to the NBA Finals. He also boasts superior numbers on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court.

LaVine, on the other hand, has only been able to put up impressive scoring numbers for a struggling Bulls team. He is locked into a 4-year contract worth $178 million, and his scoring prowess has not translated into wins for the team.

In addition to his lack of playoff success, LaVine’s age is also a factor to consider. At 28 years old, he may not be the long-term solution for the Bulls. On the other hand, Jaylen Brown is only 26 and has already established himself as one of the league’s most talented players.

One potential roadblock to this trade could be the need for the Bulls to sweeten the deal to acquire Brown. However, if they can make the trade happen, the Bulls would have a solid starting lineup featuring Brown and DeRozan, two talented players.

Trading LaVine for Brown would benefit the Bulls on the court and free up salary cap space for them to make additional moves in the offseason. This could make them a more attractive destination for free agents looking to join a winning team.

Why would the Celtics trade Brown for Lavine? Not in this lifetime unless some picks or cap relief are coming too. Celtics don’t need another guard who plays mediocre defense. You might get Brogdon for Lavine but that’s about it

Then next year you guys will be saying trade Jaylin Brown. Has Jaylin ever taken a team to a final? No he played with an elite play maker. Why trade Zach? Why not add a player like Jaylin the Bulls have assets and will have money. This thought of always trading Zach is so dumb

If they can get fair value they need to trade Lavine. He’s a “me first I have to get mine” shooter with a low BBIQ and a tendency to turn the ball over at key times. He is not clutch and shrinks in big moments. Karnisovas isn’t Paxson bad, but he sure isn’t very good at his job. But what can we expect from a Reinsdorf-owned team…SOS

I don’t think Brad Stevens would make that move. I agreed to it immediately in my head which probably means it’s a bad deal for Boston

I don’t believe the Celtics are that dumb to take him
