Tonight’s walk-off win against the Los Angeles Lakers caps off one of the most poetic wins of the entire year. One day after LeBron James goes on national television and throws shade at Michael Jordan, the Bulls somehow pull off one of the wildest finishes seen all season. With ten seconds remaining and trailing by five, Patrick Williams, Coby White, and Josh Giddey all hit the most crucial shots of the year in succession to summit the seemingly impossible mountain of a comeback. In case you missed it, here’s the most clutch thing Bulls nation has seen in quite some time.
Patrick Williams Three, Stolen Inbounds Pass Leads To Another
With 12.1 to play in tonight’s rematch of a few nights prior, where the Bulls dominated the Lakers via a 30-point blowout, Los Angeles extended their lead to five thanks to Austin Reaves scoring his 27th and 28th point of what would be a 30-point outing. With 10.1 seconds following a quick swing pass from Nikola Vucevic, Patrick Williams, a 34.3% three-point shooter this season, knocked down a much-needed trey to bring the score within two. On the following inbounds pass, a lazy attempt from LeBron James to get it in safely turned into a disaster for the purple and gold. Giddey tipped the pass, obtained possession, and kicked to his sharpshooting counterpart Coby White, and all of Chicago knew it was in. With 3.1 left, Reaves thought he had the dagger with a layup to bring his total to 30, but the Bulls had other plans. Now trailing by one, Williams inbounded to Giddey, who heaved one from beyond the half-court line, and the rest is history. The United Center was on fire!

Most Improbable Comeback In The Whole NBA This Year
Not only did the Bulls snag their ninth win in 11 outings and fourth in a row against Western Conference playoff opponents, but they capped the most statistically improbable comeback leaguewide. With 10:18 to play and trailing by 18, Chicago had a 0.8% likelihood of winning. After Reaves drilled the two free throws with under 15 seconds left, they had over a 98% chance of holding on for the win. Much like all of March has gone for the Bulls, they defied the odds and miraculously secured the victory. Maybe March Madness has rubbed off on the pesky young Chicago Bulls.
Lakers had a 99.2% win probability at 10:18 in the 4th after increasing their lead to 18

Whether it’s been Giddey’s aggression and leadership, White’s three-point barrages, or timely contributions from the entire roster, something is in the air within the Bulls organization, and it is magical. Can this team continue their blazing hot streak into postseason play and break the three-year absence from the playoffs?
WOW! Great finish like we haven’t seen in a long time! Maybe this Bulls team will be competitive again!
I’ve been watching from afar since DeMar left. Knew Lavine was empty calories – and it was just the same ole same ole. It’s changing. I’m ready to start getting to know these guys again. Sweet win that can build an immeasurable amount of momentum. Was nice to see.
Maybe…just maybe…we’re turning this thing around. Go Bulls!
