Lavar Ball was in Chicago for a Big Baller Brand event this past. This did not stop him however from making his usual grandiose claims involving his sons. Lavar made mention of creating a super team in Chicago with all three of the Ball brothers.
Lonzo Ball is currently the only Ball brother on the Chicago roster while LaMelo is an ascending star for the Charlotte Hornets. LiAngelo plays for the Hornets G-League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm.
Lavar was also in town for the matchup between the Charlotte Hornets and the Chicago Bulls where his two sons faced off Monday night. The Bulls ultimately won the matchup 133-119.
Lavar’s Comments
Lavar’s made it known that his sons playing together would be bad news for the rest of the league. Right now as individuals that’s not quite the case. Lavar had similar thoughts.
“By themselves, they are good. But together, they’re great,” Ball said.
Lavar didn’t just give his thoughts on his boys playing together to just the local media. He also talked to the Bulls’ VP of Basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas about the possibility.
Although it is unlikely that the Bulls are able to bring in the services of LaMelo Ball it is important to see them in the conversation for bringing in great players. LiAngelo wouldn’t be a hard acquisition in this portion of the hypothetical.
Chances The Move Happens
The chance that this move was to actually happen is slim to none. Despite the fact that the Bulls have drawn attention from around the league this year, there are other needs to be addressed.
Not to mention the fact that all the Ball brothers are grown men at this point and are making decisions for themselves in their careers.
With that being said, Bulls fans can dream, can’t they?
