The Bulls starting point guard was a late scratch for Thursday’s season opener due to the birth of his son. So first things first, congratulations to Kris and his girlfriend! Secondly, it looks like the newborn is going to keep his pops out of tonight’s game as well.
Bulls list Kris Dunn and Denzel Valentine as out vs. Pistons in league injury report. Cristiano Felicio is questionable. Lauri Markkanen, obviously, still out. So Bulls shorthanded again.

Johnson later reported that Dunn is expected to play in two days against Dallas, but tonight’s absence still comes as a surprise, leaving the Bulls shorthanded once again.
At the end of the day, two games missed in October isn’t a big deal. What is a big deal is that we are left to watch at least 20 minutes of Cameron Payne tonight, even if Ryan Arcidiacono gets the starting nod.
Thankfully there’s college football and playoff baseball on tonight, nobody would blame you if you missed this one.
