This is a huge blow to the Chicago Bulls. The team has already started the season off on the wrong foot with Lauri Markkanen and Denzel Valentine missing time. Now, arguably the best on-ball defender on the team is going to be out for over a month. Not to mention, Kris just returned to the team last night against the Mavericks. Kris missed the first two games because his son, Lennox, was born.
Now the Bulls have to turn back to Cameron Payne and Ryan Arcidiacono for the majority of the Point Guard minutes. The Bulls do have Tyler Ulis as well who will now probably get some court time.
At this point, the tank is back on and the Bulls should chalk this up as a lost season. Notable names such as Cam Reddish, RJ Barret, and Zion Williamson are coming out in the next draft. All are capable of playing the SF position which is the Bulls glaring weakness at this point.
