Marcus Jordan is going to marry Larsa Pippen and he wants his dad, Michael Jordan, yes that Michael Jordan, to be the best man at his wedding. And yes, that’s Larsa Pippen, ex-wife of Scottie Pippen.
Ever since Marcus and Larsa revealed to the world that they were in a relationship back in January of 2023, they’ve been on every show and podcast that will have them and this recent request from Marcus was on the Pablo Torre Finds Out show on Tuesday.
I don’t think that tradition is going to continue.
Is Marcus just using his dad’s name for clout? Get more headlines? Keep his own name in the news? Does he just want more attention from his dad? Hmmm, well earlier this summer Michael Jordan was asked about his son’s relationship with his former teammate’s ex-wife and the Chicago Bulls legend had a short, but direct answer.
Via TMZ.
The G.O.A.T (to most) was spotted leaving dinner at Matignon in Paris Sunday when he was asked about 32-year-old Marcus’ relationship with 48-year-old Pippen.
At first, MJ just laughs — but the photog doubles down asking if Jordan approves — to which Michael offers a resounding “No!” The photog asks again, and MJ just shakes his head no.
However, Marcus and Larsa have been saying quite the opposite in media appearances.
Here was the couple talking about their relationship and if Michael Jordan approved during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“We spent Thanksgiving together last year, and my family loves her,” Marcus, 32, added. “They think she’s great. And ultimately, I think my family just wants to see me happy. And so as long as I’m happy, they’re happy with whoever I’m dating.”
“Everybody had an opinion at first,” he continued. “I think there was some shock and interest early on, but I think that was the whole point of us trying to spend some family time together during the holidays.”
“At least for me, if we’re gonna be in the media, I kind of need to introduce you to my mom and my mom’s side and my dad’s side,” Marcus recalled telling Larsa. “And so, I think that went well and so far, so good.”
ET’s Brice Sander then asked Marcus, “We got the Michael Jordan stamp of approval on Larsa?”
“Yeah, oh yeah,” Marcus replied.
Here’s the video of MJ saying he doesn’t approve of their relationship.
Which kind of makes the following comments from Marcus’ appearance on the Pablo Torre Finds Out show even more interesting.
And if you’re wondering, yes, Larsa will be changing her last name to Jordan.
