According to Jake Fischer from Yahoo Sports on his podcast No Cap Room, the Chicago Bulls are actively calling the team to see if they can work a deal to trade away Zach LaVine. This latest update changes the dynamics of the Bulls roster as we know it. The Bulls aren’t simply listening to offers from teams who want to take LaVine. Instead, they seem aggressive and hope to improve the team’s future by getting rid of LaVine’s massive contract.
Trade Idea: Zach LaVine to the Warriors
Bulls Trade: Zach LaVine and Alex Caruso
Warriors Trade: Klay Thompson, Jonathon Kuminga, Moses Moody, 2023 1st round pick, 2027 1st round pick
From the Warriors’ perspective, it seems like their big 3 of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green is likely over since Green declined his player option to become an unrestricted free agent. Not to sugar quote this, but Klay Thompson is washed up. His talent is nowhere near what it once was during the Warriors’ championship run. If the Warriors want to make one final push around Steph Curry and pair him up with a high-volume shooter at a low price, look no further than Zach LaVine. Possibly with structure and a winning culture, we could see a lot of growth in LaVine’s basketball IQ if he played for the Warriors.
For the Bulls, it’s not about Klay Thompson. It’s about Jonathon Kuminga and the 2027 first-round pick. That pick could be a first-overall pick, with Steph Curry likely hitting retirement around then. Making a trade and waiting four years to get paid is tough. That’s where Jonathon Kuminga comes in. He’s an unknown talent who has grown to 7’2 over the summer. His minutes with the Warriors were depilated for reasons many still do not fully understand. He’s a trade asset at this point. The Bulls could hope they strike gold in Kuminga, who moves like a guard, could score at will, and has grown into a 7-foot monster.
SMH y’all just type anything..don’t fact check at all…JK ain’t no damn 7’2
Don’t answer the phone. It’s the Bulls calling. Remember the one who won championships in the 90s. I thought they were a fantasy because these guys have been a huge joke for a long time
The first thing is are you crazy enough to trade for this guy
