Well, Chicago fans, the Bulls just received yet another Tyson hook right to the family jewels. It was announced that Wendell Carter Jr. will miss 8-12 weeks with a thumb injury, and may be out for the rest of the year. As the old saying goes, when it rains it pours, and for us, you’d think we are in Seattle because it has poured disappointment for 45 games now.
To answer that woman’s question, I believe this is rock bottom for the organization. However, I think this is the ultimate opportunity for Jabari Parker to be able to prove to himself and the league that he can still have a very bright future and career. All year the question has been if Fred Hoiberg has given him a fair shot, but it seems like he has been a disappointment over and over again.
With Carter Jr. out for what may be the rest of the season, we should expect Bobby Portis and Lauri splitting up time at the 5 spot, and Jabari taking the reigns as the 4 in the lineup. Not trying to say this is something Parker is happy about or hoped for, but is this not the type of situation he should be ecstatic about?
Think about it, he is on an atrocious team, no pressure to win what so ever, and now has the opportunity to get serious playing time for the entire second half of the season? I can’t see how he doesn’t have the same mindset and sense of urgency, it’s time for him to make a Lazerous type resurrection to his career. If he starts playing at a higher level, it would not only help him but possibly the Bulls as well. Parker has been one of the few players in the center of the NBA trade discussion.
The #Knicks and #Pelicans are reportedly interested in #Bulls forward Jabari Parker. #NBAhttps://t.co/bxriO93LgU

I can’t help but to think how funny it would be if the Knicks ended up with Parker. Imagine just a bunch of meatball New York fans constantly bitching about how they gave him $100 million (i just assume they would do something ridiculous like that) and the rest of the league continuing to laugh at them.
Whether Jabari decides to earn his money or not, whether Carter Jr. plays again this season or not, it all leads to one common goal….yep you guessed it. #TANKFORZION
