The Chicago Bulls upcoming season is just around the corner. While some fans may not be feeling very hopeful, Bulls Star Demar DeRozan, doesn’t share those same feelings. There’s been talk in both Chicago and around the league about the Bulls possibly needing to undergo a rebuilding phase, but Demar doesn’t like to that idea one bit. In a one-on-one interview with Mark Medina, DeRozan shared his thoughts on the rebuild talk.
“I think a lot of people who say that or suggest that really don’t understand basketball at all, in my opinion.”
The Chicago Bulls Need To Make A Move Now
If Damian Lillard doesn’t come walking through the United Center doors, the Chicago Bulls chances of making the playoffs are quite slim. During the off-season, the team really didn’t make any significant roster changes. They re-signed Nikola Vucevic, but Lonzo Ball still remains out for the season and might not lace them up in his career ever again. So the Bulls have two options: either commit to a complete rebuild or try to acquire Damian Lillard.
If they don’t pick a direction and instead choose to stay put, it would be a detrimental decision. While I appreciate Demar, the reality is that this would not be in the team’s best interest to simply “run it back”.
