Well, Denzel Valentine will not be back anytime soon. Denzel has been battling an ankle injury since the beginning of the season and this setback will cost him this season.
Denzel suffered this ankle injury in training camp and has never gotten healthy enough to return to practice. The Bulls are definitely missing Denzel’s shooting, last year he shot 38% from downtown, which was the best percentage on the team.
At this point in the season, the Bulls have been struggling to find consistency at the 3. Justin Holiday just isn’t going to cut it. Chandler Hutchison has played well in limited time and might see more playing time since this season is a wash.
Though Denzel is a rotational player it still hurts this team who is struggling to stay healthy and struggling to find a leader off the bench. Bobby Portis went down with an injury and his contract comes up at the end of the year making him an RFA.
At this point, the tank is on. Zion, Barrett, Little, or Reddish. Let’s make it happen.
