It’s great to see the majority of Bulls fans finally coming around on Jimmy Butler. And this isn’t particularly anything against him because he’s earned every single thing he’s gotten. He bet on himself and he’s won. Just you know, he’s not the superstar player that he thinks he is and I was glad the Bulls decided to move on because he’s not worth all the bullshit that comes along with his good, but not superstar level of play.
Shocker, Jimmy Butler has pissed off more people in another city and has demanded a trade from the Timberwolves. As we know, the Bulls traded Butler on draft night in 2017, for Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn and the No. 7 overall pick.
That seventh pick in the 2017 NBA Draft was Lauri Markkanen.
So, after the Butler news came out on Wednesday…
Jimmy Butler has requested a trade from the Minnesota Timberwolves, league sources tell me and @JonKrawczynski. Butler has given Minnesota a list of one-to-three teams with whom he's open to signing extension, in anticipation of trade.

Minnesota's Jimmy Butler has three preferred destinations for a trade, league sources tell ESPN: The Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks. Those three teams have max cap space to sign Butler as a free agent in July.

Minnesota's Jimmy Butler is most determined to find a way to the Los Angeles Clippers, league sources tell ESPN. The appeal of partnering with a second star – the Clippers have two max contract slots available in summer free agency – is an intriguing scenario for him.

…Lauri posted a throw back Thursday picture on his Twitter and Instagram accounts. He hasn’t posted a TBT since Oct. 12, 2017.
This was no coincidence.

I am here for Lauri feeling himself and throwing some shade at the Timberwolves, who are now left with Jimmy Butler wanting to leave after one season.
There is no debate here. The Bulls won that trade and all Jimmy Butler did was screw Tom Thibodeau.
