The offseason changes just keep coming with this Bulls team. It was reported that Bulls Head Coach Billy Donovan has been given the green light to move on from the current cast of assistant coaches.
Billy Donovan is calling current Bulls assistants and telling them he’s “starting fresh,” per sources. Widespread changes include at least Roy Rogers, Nate Loenser and Dean Cooper. Ownership continues to give new regime green light to eat $ since most were under contract.

This may come as a surprise to fans knowing how reluctant Chicago Bulls Owner Jerry Reinsdorf has been to get rid of people before their contracts expire. Assuming all assistant coaches will be heading out the door Reinsdorf will find himself owing some dead money to a few coaches.
Assistant Coaches Roy Rogers and Nate Loenser are both currently under contract. Rogers is under contract for another two years and Loenser for one. Bulls assistant coach, Chris Fleming is under contract for another two years. However, Assistant Coaches Karen Stack Umlauf and Dean Cooper don’t appear to be tied to any dead money.
We should get some more insight as to who will be let go in the coming days. One thing is very clear with this new Bulls front office, they are in charge.

Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Arturas Karnisovas has taken the reigns to this franchise. Here’s to hoping this will lead the Bulls back to greatness.
