Chicago fans rejoice! Nate Robinson is returning to the hardwood!
The snack sized dynamo and former Bulls guard has officially signed on with Ice Cube’s Big3 basketball league’s second season as a co-captain of Tri-State alongside Jermaine O’Neal.
Latest Former Bull To Join 3-on-3 League
He is just the latest former NBA player with Bulls ties to join the popular 3-on-3 league– joining Ron Artest, Corey Maggette and Kendall Gill.
Robinson apparently plans to stay very busy after his retirement from the NBA as the Big3 is just one of his latest post NBA obligations.
Robinson also plans on participating in The American Flag Football League, a single-elimination 7-on-7 flag tournament featuring 1,024 teams and four pro teams beginning in March.
In addition to Robinson, Michael Vick and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson will also be playing on one of the “pro” teams– as will internet sensation Michelle Roque, who set the web ablaze with her now viral flag football highlight tape released in 2014.
Last we heard from the Chicago favorite, Robinson was doing a bit of campaigning via Instagram to return to the Bulls–
He would later make it clear that any landing spot in the NBA would do– the man just wanted to play. But, it can’t go without being said Nate has always been vocal in regards to his affinity for the city of Chicago and the time he enjoyed here. Robinson last played with the Pelicans in October 2015.
