A sick and suffering Michael Jordan plays game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals with flu-like symptoms. He is said to be experiencing dehydration and looks exhausted at times. Jordan wills himself to 38 points against the Utah Jazz to make the series 3-2 in favor of the Bulls. As a result, his legendary status grows even larger.

Michael Jordan scores 30 as the Chicago Bulls defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 108-101 as the Bulls clinch their first championship in the franchises 25-year history. Jordan wins his first of a record six NBA Finals MVP awards.
