As Michael Jordan drove the lane against the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 2 of the 1991 NBA Finals he moved past Byron Scott with the ball in his right hand. Jordan then took for what he later said was an intend to dunk. The Lakers’ Sam Perkins came over to try to contest the shot, but Jordan switched the ball into his left hand while in midair and laid it in off the glass. It was the first of many memorable Jordan Finals moments. The Bulls win over the Lakers 107-86 was their first NBA Finals win in franchise history while en route to their first championship.
June 7, 1998
Michael Jordan leads all scorers with 24 points as the Chicago Bulls defeat the Utah Jazz 96-54 in game 3 of of the NBA Finals. It is the most lopsided game in the history of the NBA Finals.
