The Blackhawks captain exited midway through practice on Monday for an unknown reason.
The Chicago Blackhawks kicked off their second week of Phase 3 of the NHL’s Return-To-Play Plan on Monday and were once again without defensemen Calvin de Haan and Connor Murphy as well as goaltender Corey Crawford. Unfortunately, the Hawks suffered yet another potential loss at practice this afternoon, as captain Jonathan Toews left early after the team wrapped up power-play drills without any further update.
Before we jump to any conclusions, Monday could have just been a light day for the now 32-year-old Toews. Per usual, expect Blackhawks head coach Jeremy Colliton to deem ‘Captain Serious’ “unfit to participate” when asked about his status later this afternoon.
