Marian Hossa and the Chicago Blackhawks have released a statement about his health following last night’s report, and it’s not good. Hossa will miss the 2017-2018 season.
Maybe, just maybe there is a positive to take from this and we can see him on the ice again. The word retirement was not used and they only mentioned missing next season. From the wording, it sounds like he will be put on long-term injured reserve as he and his medical staff search for an answer.
