Kane Sends Hawks To Stanley Cup Final
The other hat tricks in this piece certainly aren’t memorable to fans today, but this one is. He already had one career postseason hat trick back in 2009 but this one propelled the Blackhawks to their second Stanley Cup Final appearance in 4 seasons.
It was game 5 of the Western Conference Final on June 8, 2013. A game for the ages that seemed like no one would ever score again, but Kaner came through. At 11:40 in the second OT Kane secured the hatty when he ripped a one-timer from Toews for the GWG. The Blackhawks would of course go on to win their second Stanley Cup in four seasons.
