Last night reporter Mark Lazerus dropped a bombshell that Corey Crawford may miss the remainder of the Blackhawks season with vertigo-like symptoms. For weeks there has been much speculation about the mysterious “upper-body injury” that sent him to the IR.
This comes as a shock as various members of the Blackhawks organization, including Joel Quenneville, have said that he was expected to come back.
Apparently this is not the first time he has dealt with the symptoms and caused him to miss significant time in 2015-2016. Vertigo can be a debilitating condition that can cause fatigue, uneasiness, dizziness and fatigue.
This is unfortunate for Crawford who was having one of the best seasons of his career and finally getting Vezina Trophy consideration. It’s also unfortunate for the team but his well-being is the biggest concern.
We wish Corey Crawford the best and wish him a speedy recovery.
