TSN’s Pierre LeBrun reported on Tuesday afternoon that Chicago is strongly being considered as a possible hub city for the NHL’s 24-team postseason.
In a video call with TSN’s James Duthie and Bob McKenzie on Tuesday, NHL insider Pierre LeBrun stated that Chicago is beginning to gain ground as a potential host for 12 teams in the NHL’s 24-team Stanley Cup Playoffs. LeBrun also added that both the league and the players like Chicago, and that it could be the favorite if Canadian cities aren’t an option.
Las Vegas is essentially a lock to be the Western Conference’s hub city, but the league has yet to make an official announcement. According to McKenzie, the league is expected to make a final decision regarding the hub cities by sometime next week.
