The Chicago Blackhawks announced their 31-man roster for the 2020 postseason on Sunday afternoon, with the team electing to carry 17 forwards, 10 defensemen, and four goaltenders. Reese Johnson, Chad Krys, and Matt Tomkins were the three players the Hawks elected to leave off the roster, while Brent Seabrook decided on Friday that he was not yet healthy enough to participate in the postseason.

After missing a majority of the first two weeks of training camp, veteran netminder Corey Crawford FINALLY made an appearance at Fifth Third Arena on Friday and was placed on the Hawks playoff roster. Crawford confirmed on Saturday that he did test positive for COVID-19 a few weeks ago, and he took extra precautions before rejoining his teammates, which led to the lengthy absence. Just as an insurance policy, the Blackhawks did bring a fourth goaltender to their hub city of Edmonton, with Kevin Lankinen making a surprising appearance on the roster.
