The 24-year-old winger led all rookies with 30 goals and finished third with 46 points in 68 games during the 2019-20 regular season.
Chicago Blackhawks forward Dominik Kubalik was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team and finished third in Calder Trophy voting on Monday night. Colorado Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar won the Calder by a landslide, while the Vancouver Canucks’ Quinn Hughes finished second. Kubalik joined Montreal’s Nick Suzuki, Buffalo’s Victor Olofsson, Columbus’ Elvin Merzlikins, as well as Colorado’s Makar and Vancouver’s Hughes on the NHL All-Rookie Team.

Kubalik, a Pilsen, Czech Republic, native led all NHL rookies with 30 goals, 38 even-strength points, 26 even-strength goals, and 157 shots on goal in 68 games played. He became just the fifth player in Blackhawks history to score at least 30 regular season goals as a rookie, joining Steve Larmer (43), Darryl Suter (40), Artemi Panarin (30), and Eric Daze (30). Kubalik finished just three goals shy of Patrick Kane (33) for the team lead.
In Game 1 of the qualifying round against the Edmonton Oilers, Kubalik set an NHL record for points in a postseason debut with five. He went on to finish third in Blackhawks scoring for the playoffs with eight points (four goals, four assists) in nine games.
