Tyrique Stevenson May Get Benched After Inexcusable Actions On Hail Mary

-

The Chicago Bears lost in Washington to a last-second Hail Mary. While that alone was bad enough, growing evidence shows the team sabotaged itself thanks to the actions of one man. Tyrique Stevenson struggled most of the game but helped the defense corral the Commanders for only 12 points. Chicago took the lead 15-12 with 25 seconds left. On the final play, Stevenson was spotted looking away from the action at the sideline, jawing with fans. He continued this after the snap.

By the time he turned around, Jayden Daniels was setting up to throw. Stevenson’s job was to shadow wide receiver Noah Brown. His trash-talking allowed Brown to sneak into the back of the end zone, where nobody covered him. When the ball was deflected into the air, Brown was right there to make the catch. It was an inexplicable moment of immaturity and stupidity that cost Chicago the game.

Tyrique Stevenson has no excuses for this.

Head coach Matt Eberflus says the Bears have practiced that exact play 100 times this year. He seemed perplexed at what happened. Now we know. The entire plan broke down because Tyrique Stevenson was too busy getting into it with fans to remember the game wasn’t over. Players must be held accountable for blunders like that. Stevenson is a good player, but he is not above the team. That play cost the team a crucial game in the NFC wild card standings. If the Bears and Commanders end up in a tie now, Washington will be in because of that play. This is the sort of moment that should get somebody benched. Chicago has a quality reserve in Terrell Smith. Eberflus can and should send a message to Stevenson that such actions will never, ever be tolerated.

Brown was Stevenson’s responsibility? Then Tyrique needs to be benched. The fact that he was talking smack instead of doing his job is inexcusable.
Send a message. Put Smith in instead.

I’ve made $84,000 so far this month working online and I’m a full time student. I’m using an online business opportunity I heard about and I’ve made such great money. It’s really user friendly and I’m just so happy that I found out about it. The potential with this is endless.

Here’s what I do. . . . . . . . .>>> Www.Work60.Com

Daniels ran around for 20 seconds, that was the primary problem. An actual blitz would have won the game. It shouldn’t have come to Stevenson, but he is the secondary problem. Completely ruined a miracle game and now we are too far behind the rest of the division. Then again the O-Line was so bad most of the game that it shouldn’t have came to a miracle come back in the first place. It’s hard to be motivated to watch another game after a game like this.

If I’m coach, I nip that sh!t in the bud real fast. Suspension without pay next game. Stay home. Nobody is above the team. Start Terrell Smith in his place and make Stevenson win the job back. If Smith plays well then he’s the new starter. Period.

Jaylon Johnson should punch him also for that.

I’m going to be blunt, that’s on Eberflus. You send four or five and also a spy, keep the remaining five or six in the end zone. I saw four on the line to rush with everyone else back, only three did and one was a spy. You don’t give them time to run all the way into the end zone, give the QB all the time in the world to load up for his throw. We’ve seen in before and I just shook my head when I saw the Bears line up for that final play. Just an abysmal… Read more »
