Tyrique Stevenson Has Immediately Issued A Public Apology

-

It appears Tyrique Stevenson knew exactly how much he messed up on final play of the loss to Washington. For those who somehow haven’t seen it yet, the Chicago Bears cornerback was seen yapping at fans on the sideline as the Commanders snapped the ball. As a result, he was caught out of position, losing the man he was supposed to cover. That man got free in the back of the end zone, and then Stevenson added insult to injury by accidentally tipping the ball right to him. It was a monumental blunder that undeniably cost his team the win.

By the look of things, he knew it as soon as it happened. Stevenson chose not to speak to the media after the game. Some felt he was dodging responsibility. However, the cornerback quickly issued a public apology for the mistake on Twitter.

Tyrique Stevenson was accountable, at least.

He easily could’ve buried his head in the sand and tried to move on to next week. Instead, he stepped up and admitted his fault in the fiasco. It wasn’t just the Hail Mary play. Tyrique Stevenson struggled the entire game, allowing big plays and getting too distracted in a war of words with Washington receiver Terry McLaurin. It was evident he wasn’t focused all day. That final play, acting as if the game was over while the play was still going on, is the kind of immaturity you expect from high schoolers. Certainly not NFL veterans. One can imagine Stevenson’s nightmare isn’t over yet. Matt Eberflus and the coaches are almost guaranteed to grill him on that play all week. They might even temporarily bench as a message. If nothing else, it at least appears he isn’t ignorant of his mistakes.

Well I have seen that 25% of the fans think it’s the head coach’s fault that the QB, Stevenson, and O-Line blew their assignments. OK so let’s be like lowest cheapie franchises and start dumping coaches again?

That aways fixes everything,,,firing peeps.

@nurse sally You really are a moron. You’re the same dufus that championed JF the bench warmer. Your opinion doesn’t mean squat – even though you post over and over in the same comment section, all you ever get are a bunch of down votes. Get a life, loser. Take your posts to your butt-packer site.

Accountable???? If he was he wouldnt of ducked his head in front of cameras and owned up to it right then and there like a man. It wasnt until the national media broadcasted it that he wrote something.
