The Chicago Bears feel like they might be one more good player away from an elite defense. Another top pass rusher would probably do the trick. Somebody who can ease the burden on Montez Sweat. DeMarcus Walker isn’t a great fit for that job and Austin Booker still has growing to do. Some wonder if the Bears might be considering a bold move in the upcoming off-season, perhaps a trade of some kind. One name generating tons of speculation is Maxx Crosby, the Las Vegas Raiders superstar defensive end.
It isn’t a secret he’s been unhappy with the direction that franchise has taken in recent years, only making the playoffs once in his career. He’s 27 years old with two years left on his contract. Some feel one more disappointing season may push him to ask for a trade. One person who is aware of this is Seth Rollins, the WWE superstar. In addition to being one of the top professional wrestlers in the world, he is also a diehard Bears fan. That may explain why he shamelessly recruited Crosby when they crossed paths at Radio Row in New Orleans for the Super Bowl.
Maxx Crosby would be a dream for the Bears.
The four-time Pro Bowler has 59.5 sacks in his first six seasons. If he maintains this pace, he could crack 100, which is considered the point where the Hall of Fame becomes a conversation. It seems unlikely the Raiders would entertain the idea of trading him, and Maxx Crosby also seems encouraged by the recent arrival of head coach Pete Carroll. Still, long odds never stopped Rollins before. At one point in time, he was considered nothing more than a star on the independent circuit. Nobody ever imagined he would be the WWE champion one day. He also happens to be married to Becky Lynch, the most popular women wrestler on the planet. Shooting his shot is second nature to him. Luring Crosby to Chicago would be his greatest accomplishment.
I would have named him Maxxx Crosby.
Dream on, dream on until your dream comes true.
