The Chicago Bears are known for having one of the tightest locker rooms in the NFL. The fact that it hasn’t fracture through what has been a difficult stretch if bitter losses show this. How is that possible? Well it comes down to the personalities the team has added to their culture along with the one head coach Matt Nagy nurtures every day. One of relentless positive energy and a dedication to never stop fighting. That means finding ways to keep things loose in the locker room. A tried and true tradition are pranks, and it seems Tarik Cohen was the most recent victim of one.
Cohen is known for being one of the jokesters on the team and isn’t afraid to have his share of fun. Of course, that means he’d inevitably be on the receiving end as well. Chicago media just happened to catch one such prank during an open locker room session. While talking to Nick Williams, Cohen’s unmistakable voice came through on the microphones. He sounded angry. The reason why? So innocent and yet so savage all at once.
There are many ways the Bears could’ve picked on Cohen’s noted size deficiency (5’6). Most of them might come off a bit mean-spirited though. This idea was genius in its simplicity and innocence. Just move the towels to the top shelf in the locker room. That’s good stuff. It’s curious to wonder who was the brains behind that one. Williams’ reaction seems to suggest he had a hand in it. Maybe Cohen will find out and clue everybody in.
