Seems The Crazy Justin Fields Rumors Started Early This Year

-

The Chicago Bears are 2-1 to start the 2022 season. It hasn’t been pretty, but they’re in the mix of a rather wide open NFC. They have a dominant ground attack supplemented by a still-capable defense. The one weakness they can’t seem to overcome is their quarterback. Justin Fields has looked overmatched at several points through the first three games. He’s yet to cross the 300-yard threshold for passing with two touchdowns and four interceptions.

It hasn’t been pretty. Experts are trying to figure out the problem. Some blame mediocre pass protection. Others point out a subpar receiving corps. Still, it is hard to deny Fields is responsible for many of the problems. He’s not processing the action quickly enough, missing open receivers. His accuracy hasn’t been there either. It looks like he’s hesitant and thinking too much. Some believe there is a deeper meaning behind it. The analysts for uStadium, a prominent social media sports network, claim that the quarterback isn’t happy in Chicago and wants out.

“Word around Chicago is that Justin Fields is not happy with the team and it’s speculated that this relationship will not last long.

Last week, Fields seemed to take a dig at Bears fans, mentioning that they can’t feel as bad as players because they don’t put in any of the work. We also reported after Justin was drafted in 2021, through a source, that Fields never wanted to be a Bear and wanted to play in a warm weather city.”

That doesn’t sound like Justin Fields at all.

While nobody can claim they know for sure what the quarterback thinks, his background suggests he isn’t a quitter. He always loves a challenge and stated on more than one occasion he wants to be the guy who breaks the Bears’ long-standing quarterback curse. For him to suddenly want out after a tough start to his second season despite the team being tied for the NFC North lead? That doesn’t make sense.

Subscribe to the BFR Youtube channel and ride shotgun with Dave and Ficky as they break down Bears football like nobody else.

The only way this could be true is if he might be getting a sense from the team brass that he isn’t in their future plans. Remember, GM Ryan Poles and head coach Matt Eberflus didn’t draft him. They inherited him. It is hardly uncommon for new regimes to desire a quarterback of their own. That is unless they inherit a Pro Bowler or Hall of Famer. Since they arrived, Poles and Eberflus have offered nothing but vocal support for Justin Fields. There’s been no indication they have plans to shift directions.

That is why the rumor is hard to believe, especially so early in the season.

There really are some crazy rumors. One even suggested Fields has Adam Dunn syndrome.

Worthless story , he has had some bad games , maybe he isn’t good , time will tell and the inept Bear ownership will deal with it . What’s up with Santos is a real question that no one seems to want to touch

I am offended by his suggestion that fans do not put in the work. It shows a lack of maturity and situational awareness which also show up in his performance on the field. He will not be a Bear in 2023 nor will he be in the NFL much longer.
